Fat Reduction

Eliminate stubborn fat permanently — without surgery, needles, or downtime. Our non-invasive fat reduction treatment precisely targets and destroys fat cells your diet and exercise can’t reach.

About Fat Reduction

Non-invasive fat reduction uses cryolipolysis (fat freezing) to deliver precisely controlled cooling to stubborn fat pockets in areas like the abdomen, love handles, thighs, upper arms, back, and chin — triggering apoptosis (natural fat cell death) without surgery, needles, or downtime. The destroyed fat cells are permanently eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system, with visible results from 3 to 6 weeks and full results at 2 to 3 months post-treatment.

How it Works

Dr. Alan conducts a detailed medical consultation and body mapping to assess your body composition, identify target areas, and determine the right applicator and treatment plan for your specific goals.

A protective gel pad is applied to the skin before the cryolipolysis applicator is positioned precisely over the target zone. The device uses a suction cup to draw fat tissue into the applicator, delivering precisely controlled cooling to freeze the fat cells beneath — without damaging the surrounding skin or tissue.

Fat cells are more susceptible to cold temperatures than surrounding tissues. When exposed to precise cooling, fat cells undergo apoptosis (programmed cell death) — effectively destroying them without harming the skin. Surrounding nerves, blood vessels, and skin cells remain unaffected

Over the following 6 to 12 weeks, the body’s lymphatic system naturally processes and eliminates the destroyed fat cells. The treated area gradually becomes slimmer and more contoured as the dead fat cells are flushed out — a natural, progressive process.

Most patients begin to see noticeable results within 3 to 6 weeks, with optimal contour changes visible at 2 to 3 months. Studies show an average of 20 to 25% fat reduction per treated area per session. The destroyed fat cells are permanently eliminated — they do not return, provided weight is maintained.

Candidates for Fat Reduction

  • Are at or near your target weight but have localised fat pockets that don't respond to diet and exercise
  • Have pinchable stubborn fat in areas such as the abdomen, love handles, thighs, upper arms, back, or double chin
  • Are 18 years of age or older and in good general health
  • Have realistic expectations — fat reduction is a body contouring treatment, not a weight-loss solution
  • Have realistic expectations — fat reduction is a body contouring treatment, not a weight-loss solution
  • Don’t exhibit medical contraindications

Fat reduction is ideal for individuals who are close to their target weight but want to address specific stubborn areas. Fat reduction is not a treatment for obesity or generalised weight loss. It is specifically designed to target localised, stubborn fat pockets in individuals who are already close to their ideal body weight. A consultation with Dr. Alan will assess your suitability and recommend the right treatment plan.

Quick answers to questions you may have

No. Fat reduction targets localised stubborn fat — it is a body contouring treatment, not a weight-loss solution. The number on the scale may not change significantly, but the shape and proportion of your body in the treated areas will improve noticeably.

Yes. The fat cells destroyed by cryolipolysis are permanently eliminated by the body — they do not regenerate. However, remaining fat cells can still enlarge with significant weight gain, so maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important for long-term results.

Many patients achieve their desired results with one session per area. Some patients may benefit from a second session for further improvement, depending on the volume of fat and the area being treated. Dr. Alan will advise during your consultation.

Most patients experience an intense cold sensation and mild tugging during the first few minutes of treatment as the applicator begins cooling. This sensation typically fades as the area becomes numb. The treatment is generally well-tolerated with no need for anaesthesia.

There is no downtime. You may experience temporary redness, numbness, or mild swelling in the treated area, which typically subsides within a few days. Most patients return to normal activities immediately after the session

Fat reduction (cryolipolysis) focuses specifically on eliminating localised fat pockets by freezing fat cells. Body contouring uses HIFEM and RF technology to simultaneously build muscle, reduce fat, and tighten skin — for a more comprehensive reshaping of body composition. The right choice depends on your specific goals, which Dr. Alan will assess during consultation.
